Shenanigan's Adventures: Young Avengers Issue #5
Loki said something about it being connected to how they died, too. Like Noh Varr’s parents and the Amerimoms were spread across the multiverse or something. They were everywhere so they could reincarnate anywhere. And that’s why Loki told the YAs to specifically attack those parents.
And you’re right. Vision decides to ‘fix’ Noh Varr so that he’s no longer controlled and the other four have already gotten out. I want to know where the skrulls are! I want to know why they were around in the first place! And why they chose to attack Noh Varr’s ship. I know he’s Kree, but was that their only reason?Teddy could start fulfilling his prophecy of being the unifier or whatever. Keep peace in the team. That falls to him a lot. I feel like Tommy’s never really had a routine before, which would definitely happen living with the Kaplans. And then he’d still have to be sneaking behind Billy’s back to be superhero-ing like Teddy was. They kind of made it seem like he had recently left. Like he was there through the end of Children’s Crusade when we saw Teddy give Billy his little talk, but left a little before volume 2 started. I dunno. That’s how I took it, but I might have just been projecting.
But does that mean they’ll never run across those parents again? I mean, I know it was implied- but yeah. It confused me a little. And they may run across Teddy’s? Perhaps that’s why Teddy is sad on the issue 9 cover. Or it just could be that it’s time for Teddy to get depressed, he does have a lot on his shoulders.
Didn’t it also seem like Noh-varr was kind of different in personality from now? I know we only got like one panel of uncontrolled Noh-varr but he seemed kind of cruel? Maybe I’m reading too far into it. Who knows. Maybe Noh-varr will take them into space and be like “By the way, skrulls are attacking” I thought the story was going to have to do with the skrulls from the first issue but until you mentioned it I never even thought about them again. Maybe we’re supposed to assume Kate and Noh-varr defeated them? Even though they kind of made a run for it, didn’t they?
Poor Teddy. He has to keep everyone in check and happy. Eventually it’s going to be too much for him. And maybe he finally snaps. Who knows. Yeah, Tommy probably wasn’t used to having a sense of normalcy in his life. Running around from place to place, not really having a ‘home’ and not having a sense of balance. Which makes sense because of all the running around and stuff. Matches his powers~ I kind of thought he left sometime before volume 1. Teddy states something like “Your parents were so nice it drove Tommy away”. So I had a feeling he had taken off before then. Mostly because they didn’t seem bothered by the lack of Tommy, which I feel like Billy might if it was a fresh move. So he could still be potentially sneaking around with Teddy if they weren’t living together. Though it’d be kind of mean for Teddy to not only be secretly superheroing but hanging out with his brother. Ha. Because this new series supposed to take place two years after CC, isn’t it?
